AzSAM has several opportunities for members to get involved in advancing the practice of Addiction Medicine. We are currently seeking your assistance to participate in the following committees and groups:
Educational Committee: This committee is responsible for helping design and promote continuing learning opportunities for clinician members of AzSAM, with special focus on educational programs, resources and activities. This committee may also serve as a liason between educational institutions and AzSAM, helping provide educational resources to those interested in the practice of Addiction Medicine.
Community Relations Committee: This committee will assist in promoting the visibility of the organization, often working other professionals and professional organizations, government, media, purchasers and consumers of health care services, and the general public.
Fundraising Committee: This committee assists in securing funding to support our educational activities. AzSAM is a 501-c3 non-profit organization.
Conference Planning Committee: This committee helps in the planning and coordination of efforts for AzSAM’s Annual Conference.
Membership Committee: This committee is responsible for promoting, encouraging, facilitating and retaining AzSAM membership.
Newsletter Editors and Contributors: This committee assists in the preparation of the AzSAM Quarterly Newsletter by writing, editing, and/or soliciting articles for inclusion in the newsletter.
If you have a skill set that you feel is a good fit for a committee please let us know. Contact Monica Faria for further information on committees and opportunities for involvement.
